Mastery Activity report


To help reinforce the concepts covered in class, teachers can assign Mastery Activity assessments to their learners on Siyavula. This feature allows teachers to track and analyze learner performance on the selected topics. Click here to learn more about Assigning the Mastery Activity


How to view the Mastery Activity report


  1. Log in to your teacher account
  2. Click on Assessments **on either the **class **that you are linked to or on the **grade **groups **


The list of assessments sent to the selected class or grade will appear.


  1. Select the assessment report you want to view by clicking on the title of the assessment.


  1. Once you have opened the assessment report, you can view the;


  • **Assessment details: **Which include the name of the assessment, its scheduled start date and time, any applicable deadline, and the specific section assigned for the Mastery activity.



  1. The next section outlines the set Mastery Star targets and the maximum question limit for the chosen section.


  1. The overall results sections shows the;


  • Completion rate (%): The percentage of learners that completed the assessment.
  • Learners achieved star goal (%): The percentage of learners who reached the star goal by the activity’s due date.
  • Mastery avg. (%): The average mastery percentage across all learners by the due date or time of report.



  1. The Summary results by learner shows the;


  • Questions attempted: The number of attempted questions completed by each learner.
  • Mastery stars: Number of Mastery stars earned within the context of this activity
  • Mastery (%): The learner's mastery achieved by the due date of the activity



  1. The results by question section shows an analysis of the assessment questions based on;


  • **Difficulty **level of each question.
  • Number of learners who attempted each question
  • Average results (%) across learners who attempted each question


Teachers can also select the individual question titles, to view the full version of each question as it was presented to the learners.



  1. The final section provides the;
  • Average results per question for each individual learner.
  • The total number of attempts (indicated in brackets) a learner made when answering a specific question on the assessment.
