Creating a Supplementary Class
Types of Classes
There are three types of classes on Siyavula:
- Grade Group is the automated allocation of registered learners at your school. Learners get linked here when they select a grade, school name and subject on their profile.
- Advance/Real Class is the class that is created manually and can be used to allocate learners based on how they attend the Maths or Science lesson eg. Grade 8A, Grade 8B etc. Learners get linked manually by the teachers or by redeeming an access code. Class sizes are used to calculate registration and activity reports. Advance/real classes are only available on the Advance package.
- Supplementary Class is a specialized class that a teacher can create to support a specific group of learners. For example, in supplementary class, a teacher can link learners who are struggling on a certain concept and give them extra work. These classes will not affect the registration and activity reports.
